Amitabh Bachchan-How Big B became Auro

This 67 year old 'Star Of The Millenium' has again proved his legendary acting skills, though with the little help from the make-up artist Stephan Dupuis in the movie 'PAA'.

Amitabh Bachchan and Balki came together second time for the movie 'PAA' which is based on 'Progeria' which is caused due to rare genetic disorder.

Nobody was allowed to carry mobile phones on the sets to protect Amitji's look. It was a strict rule.

Director R. Balki (2nd R) watches on as make-up artists work their magic on turning Amitji into 'Auro'.

While shooting in Malaysia, a man came into the shoot hearing that Mr.Bachchan was shooting but he roamed around the whole set and just could not locate him because of his get up. He left the set, cursing the unit saying that they had lied about Mr. Bachchan being in the film.

Amitji's school friends where shocked when they first saw him as 'Auro'. They wanted to touch his head to make sure it was 'real'.

Various parts of the prosthetic mask were kept separately to maintain the same look of 'Auro'.

Kids who were playing friends of Amitabh Bachchan in the movie, used to whack him around on the head because he was bald.

When AB entered the set for the shot, the kids in the auditorium, more than 300 of them didn't recognize who the charachter of 'Auro' was, because of the briliant prosthetic make up.

Amitabh says he was "quite well-behaved and obedient" on the sets unlike the "troublesome child" he was called by Abhishek who plays his father in the movie.

Amitji had to wear over eight pieces of specially crafted clay pieces designed by international make-up artist Stephan Dupuis for his role and says he was pampered well during the entire process.

Though Amitji was quite pampered on the sets, he believes that the unit members were actually more worried about the make-up as it was very tedious.

Amitji used to have a lot of problem in breathing, eating and used to feel itchy - but everyone on the sets were extremely courteous.

Amitabh is being applauded by film critics, Industry members as well as by audience for his portrayal of Auro. Many have called it "awesome", "amazing" and his "best performance till date".
