Going by the trends, it appears that the new breed of star kids will rule the film industry. Here are the celebrity 'bachchas' of 2009... Shazahn Padamsee: Daughter of popstar Sharon Prabhakar and adman Alyque Padamsee, the pretty Shazahn has been around doing theatre for a while and is getting ready for her first movie. The movie is a biggie too, a Yash Raj release directed by Shimit Amin and starring current golden boy, Ranbir Kapoor. The film is called 'Rocket Singh, Salesman Of The Year' and promises to be an interesting debut.

Shruti Haassan: Kamal Haasan and Sarika's daughter is a rockstar, doing gigs on stage and recently spotted in an ice-cream commercial with musician Raghav Sachar. The attractive young woman has been cast in 'Luck' opposite Imran Khan. Having done well for herself with music already, let's see if Shruti can hit the right notes on-screen now.

Sonakshi Sinha: Shatrughan Sinha's daughter was all set to start her Bollywood innings with Anurag's brother Abhinav Kashyap's debut venture, opposite Salman Khan. But then came the news that she walked out of the film after reading the script in hopes of a more substantial role. Starting out by playing a diva?

Narmmadaa Ahuja: Narmada now spelt as Narmmadaa, Govinda's daughter has already consulted a numerologist and added letters to her name, it's only a matter of time before her film is actually announced. She hasn't revealed her debut film but her pictures have lately been crowding tabloids.

Vaishali Desai: Bollywood's icon of masala films, Manmohan Desai's daughter makes her debut opposite Jackky Bhagnani in 'Kal Kisne Dekha'. Let's watch out for the two starkids.

Shraddha Kapoor: Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor's daughter Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly completed work in a film called 'Teen Patti' alongside Amitabh Bachchan. The film is said to be a take on '21' featuring Big B as a professor tutoring kids in high-stake gambling.

Jackky Bhagnani: Producer Vashu Bhagnani's son Jacky is currently splashed across hoardings with the release of 'Kal Kissne Dekha'. The young man has been around a while and was credited as an associate producer in the 2003 dud 'Out Of Control'. The film was a flop at the box office but as an actor, Jacky is still to prove his skills.

Naveed Ozman: Gemini Ganesan's grandson might be a big name down south, but in Bollywood the only family connect that'll open doors for young Naveed is the fact that he's Rekha's nephew. A former investment banker, he's on the lookout for the right director and script. All the luck!

Luv Sinha: Shotgun wanted his son Luv to study at the Film Institute in Pune, but the youngster pooh-poohed the offer because they don't teach 'dance' and 'action' there. The boy must have played his cards right, because he's gearing up for his launch in Raj Kanwar's next film.
