Wild ways of celebs

Love them, hate them, but you just can't ignore them. From the clothes these celebs wear, to the food they eat, from the friends they keep, to their illnesses and even their misdemeanours...nothing escapes the public eye. So what if they are caught in a web of controversies - after all, isn't that the price of fame? Here's a look at some of your favourite tinsel town stars who have been in the eye of the storm...



Popular Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja has been charged with raping, detaining and threatening his 19-year-old his domestic help and has been remanded into police custody. The 36-year-old actor and the victim have undergone medical tests and initial reports 'have proved positive'.
Battling her way: Britney Spears is one of the biggest names struggling to get her life and career back on track after a year where she seemed to lurch from one lurid tabloid headline to the next. Hotel heiress: Paris Hilton was shell-shocked after a Los Angeles judge sentenced her to 45 days prison in alcohol-related reckless driving case. However, the real drama was still to come. Released into home detention after spending just three days behind bars, she was swiftly hauled sobbing back to court where a judge ordered her returned to prison. Nicole Richie, the 25-year-old daughter of soul singer Lionel Richie, was put behind bars after being caught driving under the influence down the wrong way of a Los Angeles freeway. The socialite was also fined 2,048 dollars and placed on probation for three years. (Reuters Photo)
Erratic diva: The roll-call of troubled celebrities extended beyond the Los Angeles bubble, most notably with British soul singer Amy Winehouse. Although Amy enjoyed phenomenal success with her breakthrough album "Back to Black", the talented 24-year-old's life seems to be hurtling off the rails. Addicted : Lindsay Lohan seems to be controversy’s favourite child. She hit the headlines after being discovered passed out in a hotel corridor following the Golden Globes in January 2007. A red flag warning that was followed by the ‘now customary’ stint in rehab. It got worse when Lindsay was caught for drunk driving and drug possession in May 2007 only to be nabbed for the same offences in July. Lindsay eventually escaped a lengthy prison sentence, spending only 84 minutes behind bars, and has been keeping a low profile since then. (Reuters Photo)
Drama Queen: Rakhi has attracted a great deal of attention from the conservative elements of the Indian society by appearing on stage and screen in provocative outfits. She was booked for obscenity by the Kolhapur Police after a stage show in the city.
