Tere Mere Beach Mein

As the host of 'Tere Mere Beach Mein', Farah Khan grilled Shah Rukh Khan, when she asked him, if he ever told Gauri not to wear certain outfits or curtailed her movements.
Shah Rukh Khan admitted to being insecure of his relationship like most men in the initial years of dating. He says, "I wouldn't like it if Gauri left her hair loose. She's so beautiful that I used to stop her wearing mini-skirts or T-shirts. But I promised her the minute we married that I'd never behave in such a rotten manner. She would never feel curbed from doing anything".

"Normally all the gifts I've given Gauri in the last 24 years, she always accepts it and gives me a casual hug in front of all thanking me and 99.9% of the time, she returns the gift and takes something else in its place..", SRK shares with Farah on the TV show 'TMBM'.

Farah Khan asks, "I am guessing the same goes for you!" Shah Rukh Khan replies back by saying, "No, for me, it's Angelina at No.1 & Gauri is No. 2!"
'Freedom' is the theme of the next episode of show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' with host Farah Khan and celebrity guests Neil Nitin Mukesh and Abhay Deol. The actors talked about how they lived within the rules laid by their family and yet took career decisions that may have resulted in a lot of flak for their families.

The handsome and charming Neil Nitin Mukesh recalls how he made his father angry by signing 'Johnny Gaddar' as his debut film. Neil says, "My dad did not speak to me for six months. He was so mad at me that he wouldn't even speak to me during meals. When I asked him, what was the thing that was upsetting dad so much, he said, we are known for our goodness. How can you play a negative role in your debut movie itself, I explained to him that it was necessary for people to recognize my acting abilities, and that's why I was doing the film. I can identify myself as an actor, make people identify with me as an actor."

He adds, "It was a big thing after the film was released. I wonder if any son got such a wonderful gift from his father like I did. Dad said that he respects me and is proud that I did the film". Farah Khan asks if he ever wanted to follow the family tradition of becoming a singer and he reverts, "Each individual has different interests. I can sing". He regales the audience with his rendition of his grandfather's song, 'Ek din beet jayega maati ke mol'!

'Haklana' or stammering is a handicap faced by many young children and adults. As traumatic it is for them, Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan also admits to having this problem.

Hrithik reveals that he was around six years old when he began stammering. He says, 'Everything seems normal till you start talking. The minute you start talking, you get stuck and you don’t know why?'
Hrithik Roshan also adds that 'Right from your toes to the ends of your hair strands, you are in complete shock. Your heart palpitates, you don't understand and you are aware of people looking at you. You can compare it to hell.'
When asked till when the problem continued, Hrithik says, 'Six to 35. I am 35.'
On being asked if he was made fun in school, Hrithik says, 'Of course. Unfortunately, it's one of those handicaps that is made fun of. Especially kids, you can't blame them but they end up being mean because it looks funny! So the childhood of a person suffering from a problem like this is pure hell.'
And Hrithik Roshan adds, 'For oral tests at school, I used to bunk school, I used to fall sick, I used to break my hand, I used to get a sprain.'
He also speaks of getting tremendous family support but admits to it making it tougher on him; 'Mummy and daddy have been supportive. Yes, but sometimes love is not enough! When you love someone you want that person to be okay and it comes out as anger. It's like 'Come on, you can do it, just concentrate hard!'

Host Farah Khan, entertained viewers with many hidden truths and unknown facts as she interviewed cricketers, Yousuf and Irfan Pathan on the recent episode of her talk show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein'.
According to Irfan and Yousuf Pathan's mother, it was better for them to put in a club rather than becoming a nuisance for the neighbours by breaking their glass panes.
According to Irfan, family support for him is very important. His father undoubtedly supported them but it was their mother who always gave them the moral support.
On the show audience came to know that parents have ordered the Pathan brothers to play in one IPL team... they can't take the pressure!

The senior Pathan, spoke about their humble background and what all he did to help their sons, Yousuf and Irfan realize their dreams despite his meager earnings. Irfan's father said, "I used to earn Rs 80 working in the Masjid. He said, "Earlier, all the mails from females used to come for me and i noticed my mother was unusually happy, cooking and smiling away". So, i asked her the reason for her happiness and mom started reading the letter and said, "Dekh aaj tak tere liye letter aate the, aaj tere bade bhai ke liye bhi letter aaye hain!, Toh mummy badi khush thi".

Priyanka speaks of being put behind a cage in her own home in Bareilly after returning from studying in the US and winning May Queen! She was followed everywhere by admirers and fans in Bareilly even before she made it big in Bollywood!.

Salman Khan's mother shares her various experiences while traveling with him in his car. She says, "Isske saath gaadi mein baithke mujhe chakkar aa jaate hain kyunki ye yahan se vahan se le jaata hai. He hates waiting at signals, so he keeps taking shortcut routes to reach any place and that puts me in a tizzy".
Salman Khan is the first celebrity guest on the new chat show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein', which is hosted by Farah Khan. The first episode, around the theme "Mamma's boys", talks about nation's obsession with our mothers.

About the show, Farah says, "Tere Mere Beach Mein breaks the myth that stars live in a different world and gets the viewers to realize how similar their stories are, and hence how similar their worlds are".

When Farah suggested that they both have to appear on her chat show 'Tere Mere Beech Mein', both Kareena and Imran jumped for the chance instantly.

Kareena, despite of having a bad throat she made it to the show. Kareena says, "I sounded hoarse and could barely talk. But it was great fun. Imran is such a nice guy. Now after meeting him I'm looking forward to do a film with him. I did it mainly for Farah. I can never say no to her."

Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan is slated to be our own, desi Oprah Winfrey very soon as she is going to host a celebrity chat show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein'. The show goes on air on August 22 on Star Plus.



Unlike other talk shows, the guest-list for this show will not be restricted to celebs or socialites. It will involve people from various levels of society and will deal with achievers, commoners, addicts and will cover taboo subjects that aren't discussed on TV freely.

The hostess, Farah Khan gets the guests on her show to open up and talk about their fears, insecurities, mistakes and personal angst. In one such episode, she has Karan Johar and Sonam Kapoor talking about their battle of the bulge while growing up.
The idea of the show 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' is to bring together celebrities and common people under the umbrella of a topic that binds them together. The show features a pair of guests who have something in common. So when it came to Karan and Sonam, apart from the fact that the two are super talented, they also emerged as winners fighting off weight issues.
The chat show will be based on a specific topic every week. Two guests, a celebrity and a common man- will be interviewed in each episode.
Farah Khan will add her own flavour and style to the show with her unique personality. Add this to the fact that she herself is a great example of someone who has risen from nowhere to reach where she is the perfect host for the show.
Each episode of the show Tere Mere Beach Mein' is based on a particular theme and the discussion features guests from different walks of life. The common person coming on the show shares his or her story that has striking similarity to that of the celebrity and they will be gratified by Farah.
The show is vibrant, entertaining and has a heart and 'Tere Mere Beach Mein' is not the drama but the humanness and the genuine side of the guests that shines through. It is about linking the common man world with the world of the stars.

The topics of the show will be light-hearted and not preachy or boring. Each show revolves around a subject and then celebrities are chosen to talk on the selected topic.
Farah's show isn't for a niche audience, but for the masses. The show is in Hindi and the sets have a very casual bohemian look and the sets has a beach as the background.
