Fast-tracked into the finals due to her Beach Beauty win, Aldorino, 23, did not gasp in surprise, or cry like most contestants who learn the overwhelming news, that they have beaten 111 beautiful young women from all over the world to take the coveted title. (AP/Schalk van Zuydam)

During her reign as the Miss World 2009, Aldorino will be busy for the next one year travelling and doing social work in different countries. She will also crown the winner of the Miss World 2010 pageant, to be held in Vietnam.

By occupation she is an HR Clerk. Her main hobbies are to dance and travel and to spend time with her loved ones. "My main ambition in life prior to winning the crown was to further my career and to be successful in my life," says the beauty.  (REUTERS/Siphiwe Sibeko)
